"Yourself a newborn bard of the Holy Ghost" Ralph Waldo Emerson
After 26 years of college teaching, I've called it quits. I'll still read, and think, and write--all the essential and fun things of my previous gig--but now my guitar will always be in the room.
I don't ski year round, but most every day I breathe in (inspire) and breathe out (expire). It's a little process I've found helps me stay alive and, when I pay attention, also helps me create.
I'll publish songs and such, insights and perspectives, conversations with friends, and invite you to join in the fun. I'm just a belated, sometimes beleagured bard, inviting you too, to Be the Bard!
Most Tuesdays nights you'll find me hanging out with fellow songwriters as a member of the Songwriters Association of Norman, Oklahoma.
I also host a Singer-Songwriter night the first Friday of each month in my hometown of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Hit me up if you'd like to join the fun. There's also a top secret songwriters group I'm a member of called A Murder of Bards (cool name, huh?). We can be found on Facebook, allegedly. I can always be reached at email@example.com
